Jollibee Big Burger Steak : For Your BIG Appetite

I’m sure many of you would agree: there’s something about Jollibee that keeps us coming back for more even with the wide variety of restaurant choices that are available to us. 99% of the time that we visit a Jollibee store, I just have to order their Burger Steak. I’ll have to admit, it’s my favorite alongside their Chickenjoy. So when I heard about Jollibee’s Big Burger Steak, I simply had to have it. 😀

The distinct taste of Jollibee’s Burger Steak is something I seem to always crave for. My friends, and Ken, can attest to this. And the Big Burger Steak definitely satisfies my big appetite. 😀

Juiceria Cleanse : Detox Your Way to a Healthier Lifestyle

When Ken and I decided to move out of our home in Malabon and live on our own, we both agreed it’s the perfect time to kick-start a healthier lifestyle by eating better at home. So when a high school batchmate asked me if we wanted to try their juice cleansing programs at Juiceria Cleanse, Ken and I immediately said yes.

Okay, we didn’t exactly say yes right away. 😀 I’ve been hearing so much about juice cleansing that I had all these doubts in my head. I am very much aware of the benefits and the nutrients you can get from juicing, but I wasn’t prepared for fasting or not eating anything at all. I might go HANGRY (y’know, all the mood swings or you get easily angry because you’re hungry 😀 ) during the 3-day program, and I might not be able to concentrate while working. Sure, I was working from home then, but it was quite an intense week since I was transitioning from online work to office girl again. Can I handle not eating anything when I’m used to eating the stress away?! 😀

Junlyn, the woman behind Juiceria Cleanse, assured me that I wouldn’t have any issues during the 3-day period. She said that they have many clients who go through their programs during workdays. To play it safe, I chose Juiceria Cleanse’s Reboot program since this allows me to eat at least one healthy meal a day. Ken, who went on a strict diet a few years ago and was determined he can take it, went for their 3-day Bootcamp program so it was all juice for him.

Reward Yourself with Jollibee’s Kit Kat Mix-ins

I remember back when I was still working the night shift at one of ePLDT’s call centers in Taguig, I frequently rely on coffee or chocolate bars to keep me awake while I listen to agents’ calls and evaluate them throughout my 8-hour shift. One of my favorites was Kit Kat. I love the sweetness of the chocolate that wraps the chunky, crunchy wafer inside.

I think this is my favorite Jollibee Mix-ins variant because of the crunchy chocolate goodness of Kit Kat that’s mixed in with Jollibeeâ€™s creamy vanilla soft serve. Best eaten right away, especially in this warm weather we’re experiencing now. I suggest you order it after you’re done with your main meal at Jollibee.

Pizza Hut Cheesy 7 : For a Merry Cheesemas!

If you’ve been following us on Instagram or Facebook, you probably already know how much we love pizza. One of the pizza joints we frequent is Pizza Hut. When we found out about Cheesy 7, their new pizzaÂ in time for Christmas, we knew we just had to try it.

Last week, they sent us a box of Pizza Hut’s Cheesy 7 family-sized pizza. We couldn’t wait to devour the whole thing! 😀 We are true-blue cheese lovers, so imagine how excited we were to have a taste.

The pizza was named Cheesy 7 because it’s topped with 7 imported cheeses that will definitely make any cheese lover’s mouth water: mozzarella, parmesan, provolone, Monterey Jack, Romano, Cheddar and balls of cream cheese. *wipes drool* 😀

Jollibee Mix-in with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Kisses

I don’t know anyone who is not fond of Hershey’s Kisses. I prefer to enjoy them by letting them linger on my tongue as the chocolate goodness melts in my mouth. So, when we found out Jollibee came out with their new Sundae Mix-in with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Kisses, we immediately wanted to try it.

Good thing there’s a nearby Jollibee here in Malabon. Okay, not really nearby – a tricycle and a jeep away is what we meant by that. 😀 We received gift certificates to try their new Mix-in, so we had lunch with my BFF Jasmin and our nanay’s BFF, Tita Beth. We all were eager to try the mix-ins, but we haven’t had lunch yet so we decided to order their chicken meals first.

We were all surprised to know that Jollibee now offers buttered corn and mashed potato alongside your ChickenJoy with rice orders (SuperValue Meal also comes with a drink and sundae). They also have bucket meals now that include these side dishes. Of course, Ken and I picked 2-piece ChickenJoy with rice. 😀

McDonald’s McSpicy, Big N Tasty, and Black and White Burgers

We have yet to blog about so many things we’ve enjoyed the past year, and it was only now that McDonald’s launched a new burger – the McSpicy Chicken Burger – that I finally got to writing about how much we love their Big N’ Tasty, which was launched a year ago.

For years, there has only been one fast food chain that delivers 24/7 to our area here in Malabon City – the McDonald’s branch in Concepcion (google-map it!). Though this is mainly the reason why I’ve collected a stash of ketchup sachets from McDo (no shame), they have been our go-to place for midnight snacks. And since I work at night and the stress from my job makes me want to eat past 12 midnight, I can no longer count how many times we’ve had food from McDo delivered here. They don’t even call or verify anymore and the delivery guys already know us. 😀

Sauce-Less Mrs Hudsons Pizza from Yellow Cab

One of my ultimate comfort food has got to be pizza. The truth is, I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t love pizza. And what I enjoy most about it, especially with a brother who prepares a kick-ass thin-crust pizza (recipe here soon!), is you can be all sorts of creative with what you put on top. So when Yellow Cab Pizza delivered a big box of their new creation – Mrs. Hudson’s Pizza – I couldn’t wait to take my first big bite. 😉

Mrs. Hudson’s Pizza is Yellow Cab’s first ever sauce-less pizza. YES, you read that right â€“ sauce-less. It doesn’t have the usual pizza sauce we all love, but all the premium ingredients it’s topped with totally makes up for it.

Yellow Cab Pizza is proud to announce this limited-edition pizza that is Italian-inspired, with toppings of prosciutto or Parma ham, which are thinly sliced dry-cured uncooked ham. The name Mrs. Hudson is not of any Italian influence, but itâ€™s with reference to the historic Hudson River in New York City and Sherlock Holmes‘ landlady Mrs. Hudson. So, it’s a mashup of Italy and New York. 🙂

McDo Twister Fries are Back : Limited Time, Limited Serving (Extended!)

Yes, McDonald’s Twister Fries are back! But, for a VERY limited time only, that’s why they’re urging us to “Prioritize the Twister Fries”. It’ll be available until ~~August 25th only~~ September 16, 2012Â (EXTENDED!).

I LOVE McDo’s Twister Fries, so when I found out that they’re bringing them back, I couldn’t wait any longer. Last night, we had some delivered, along with their Big ‘N Tasty burger (which is now my favorite among McDonald’s burgers – will blog about this next).

The Twister Fries are priced at Php 59 when you order Ã la carte, Php 78 with regular Coke McFloat or Php 88 with a Monster Coke McFloat.

Before I ordered, I already saw the ads and people on my list sharing photos of their Twister Fries orders. I thought that for Php 59, I will get a large order or serving since it was the only option for Ã la carte. Well, I ordered 3 ’cause I thought our parents can just share – I don’t want them eating a heavy meal before bed. Here’s what we got:
