Feast on Friday Dinner Buffet at Richmonde Hotel Ortigas

Thank God it’s Friday! This expression was coined because Fridays signal the start of the weekend—the time when we can finally take our well-deserved rest from a stressful week at work. What do we do to welcome the weekend? We hang out with our friends and co-workers either going to bars or having dinner at a restaurant. Well, you can hit two birds with one stone at Richmonde Hotel in Ortigas, where you can stuff yourselves full during their Feast on Friday Dinner Buffet at Richmonde Café and then enjoy a few drinks at The Exchange afterwards.

Buffet Spread at Feast on Friday Dinner Buffet Richmonde Hotel Ortigas

Executive Chef, Jesse Factor, together with her team, has prepared a sumptuous buffet spread for their Friday dinner buffet. For starters, you can enjoy a bowl of their piping hot Shrimp Bisque soup or their Vietnamese Shrimp and Pomelo Salad, which a chef will assemble fresh and on-the-spot for you. They also have a platter with a variety of cheese, which I highly recommend that you pair with some wine. A good choice is their Moscato, since it can go with anything from savory items to desserts.

After making ourselves comfortable in our seats, our server asked us to choose between their free-flowing white or red wine sangrias. Since Mhel’s palate is more familiar with the flavors and tannins in wines, she went for the red wine sangria, while I played safe with the white.

Chef Sau del Rosario x 20 Years of Love & Cooking Book

You’re not a true Filipino foodie if you are not familiar with Chef Sau del Rosario. He’s practically everywhere – from TV shows, magazine covers, newspapers, and even online. Coming from four generations of native Kapampangan chefs, it’s no surprise Chef Sau pursued a culinary career as well. And by ‘pursued,’ we mean fattening his resume with local and international stints and working with Michelin star chefs like Christian Plumail, Jacque Divellec, and Bruno Loubet. He delves deeper into his 20 years of culinary experience in his recently launched book, “20 Years of Love & Cooking.” If you happen to visit Fresh Restaurant during Sunday brunches, they’re selling copies of his book, which Chef Sau would be more than happy to sign for you!
