My Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011

It’s that time again when new emerging and influential blogs are recognized by the blogging community.

This year, choosing my list of emerging blogs for 2011 has been easy. My votes go to my blogger friends and some that I completely support.

Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011

Without further ado, here are my Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011:

#1: www.CertifiedFoodies.com

Vote for Certified Foodies for Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011 - CertifiedFoodies.com

Of course, on top of my list is our food blog, this blog, Certified Foodies. I believe that our food blog deserve a spot in the Top 10 this year because of what we have accomplished in a year of this blog’s existence. We may go on about our blog’s traffic stats and the number of readers and comments we get daily, but really, this blog is about how we affect other people.

When we started this blog last year, our main goal was to share our own recipes and to convince people that cooking can really be fun. In our family, food and cooking have played a big part in drawing us closer together. And we wanted to share that love and passion for food with our dear friends and readers.

We also share our foodie adventures here. And if you’ve been reading our posts, you’d get to read about some awkward and funny moments that we experience while we discover new things. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about – it’s part of the fun and adventure. 😀

We're closer than ever before - CertifiedFoodies.com

My bro, Kenneth, and I have become closer than ever because of this food blog. We enjoy going on food trips, and now, we get to discover new cuisines and flavors together. And we know that you all agree that nothing beats bonding with your closest friends and loved ones with something delicious to share with them, may it be a home-cooked meal or even a sandwich to make it special. 🙂

I believe that our food blog has received votes from numerous bloggers, a lot of them have known us up-close, because they’ve seen the bond between me and my brother. We only realized that when people started complimenting us about it – how close we are. I bet when they get to meet my whole family, especially our nanay, or even live in our home for even a day or two, they’d understand why we’re so close. Everyone here at home loves food and enjoys cooking.

Our family now enjoy dining out more than before - CertifiedFoodies.comOur family enjoys dining out more than ever. We get to try out new restaurants together. 🙂
Sorry, we don’t usually smile in our photos but we really had fun when we all went out for movie day. 😀

And I know you’d agree that in every occasion or every emotion you feel, there’s a dish or food that will suit the moment. May it be a tub of vanilla ice cream to ease a broken heart, a fiesta of kare-kare and all sorts of Pinoy dishes to celebrate a birthday or an anniversary, glasses of wine or shots of tequila as you bond and drink with friends you haven’t seen for awhile, a home-cooked meal during the weekend when your family’s together, or a romantic meal before you propose to the love of your life.

This is why we enjoy food blogging as much as you, our dear friends and readers, enjoy reading and sharing your own foodie stories on our posts. And because of this, we’ll continue on spreading the LOVE, not just for food, but for our family and friends, and for each other as siblings. 🙂

Finally, now that my brother Kenneth is studying to become a full-fledged chef soon, expect us to share more tips, recipes and discoveries as he venture onwards to fulfill his culinary journey. 🙂

Soon to be Chef Kenneth - CertifiedFoodies.com

To everyone who voted for us already, THANK YOU SO MUCH! We truly appreciate your votes, especially those that came from people who’ve been following our foodie stories and adventures for months now. You’re a major part of why we’re enjoying this! 🙂

(Okay, I’m getting a li’l teary-eyed here. 😀 Only my closest friends know exactly why.)

The rest of my Top 10 after the jump.

 #2: www.NotepadCorner.com

Notepad Corner by Joy Blanca

I consider Joy of Notepad Corner as one of my closest friends. I knew her even before she started blogging as she’s also an internet cafe owner. I convinced her to start blogging a few months ago because I know her potential. I even bribed her that I’ll design her blog theme. I knew she had a lot of tips and stories that other mothers and women out there may take inspiration from. I was 100% right.

So, yes, she is an influential blogger for me because she’s been one of the few people who I go to for advice, may it be in life or relationships, anything! And she does the same for the readers of her blog. She’s a true friend I’ll treasure forever. 🙂

#3: www.MommySurvival.info

Mommy Survival by Ellen Joy

I am truly amazed by my mommy friends and bloggers. Being a single woman, reading their stories about motherhood has sparked the desire in me to really become a mother in a not so distant future. And even after I read Ellen Joy’s Mommy Survival blog and learning about the hardships one can encounter taking care of toddlers, I still want to raise my own kid soon and I’m glad I’ve got a blog like hers to make me believe that though being a mother takes a lot of survival skills and knowledge, it’s a truly rewarding experience. She offers tips and answers to the most asked questions by mommy wannabes like me. 🙂

#4: www.MomWrites.com

Mom Writes by Mommy Rubz

Mom Writes is one of the many blogs of Mommy Rubz. She’s one of the most hardworking women I’ve known and I admire her for that. Following her blogs and getting to know her for the past year, I’ve learned that she’s indeed a strong woman after everything she’s been through with her family.

This is why I enjoy reading this blog of hers because here, she focuses on happy thoughts and memories as a mother and with her family. My bro and I particularly enjoyed their photos planking together as a family. 😀 It was some crazy fun. I wish my nanay would agree to plank with us. 😀

See yah again soon, mommy Rubz!

#5: www.TotteringMama.com The Tottering Mama by Olga

Olga of Tottering Mama is another blogger I follow. She’s a perfect example that being a mother can truly be beautiful and gratifying. She has proven that a woman can do more than just being a mom someday, too. She’s shown that even though you’re already a mother and your family’s your priority in life, that shouldn’t stop you from living your life to the fullest, sharing your life with others and supporting causes that you believe in. And it’ll be more fun if you get your family involved too. 🙂

#6: www.Pepperrific.com

The Pepperrific Life by Pepper

Motherhood is already hard as it is. Now, Imagine being a single mom. Taking care of your kids and still caring for yourself can indeed be crazy. But, Pepper of Pepperrific has proven that being a single mom is not something to be afraid of. And I love her views and takes on different views on motherhood, including how parents should teach their kids respect and, most recently, her top 5 dreams for her daughter. You can really see that she writes from the heart and every blog post she publishes is written to share, not just her stories, but to hopefully encourage and inspire other parents. She’s a thoughtful mommy blogger, I tell yah. 🙂

#7: www.thebloggersjournal.com

The Bloggers Journal by Willa

I love helping out friends and fellow bloggers whenever they need some technical assistance on anything related to their blogs or sites. I also have my own tutorial blog and so I know the hard work you need to put into posting guides for others to learn from. This is why The Bloggers Journal of Willa is a must-read for newbie bloggers. 🙂

#8: www.mygreenlivingideas.com

My Green Living Ideas by RiaI admit that I’m not one of the most responsible inhabitant of our planet Earth, but I find time to recycle what needs and can be re-used, even when my brother scolds me and calls me a hoarder. 😀

This is why I admire people like Ria of My Green Living Ideas who really take the time to come up with their own unique ways of helping conserve Mother Earth, no matter how hopeless some people think that cause is. It’s never too late, I say. 🙂

#9: www.MyPaintedLips.com

My Painted Lips by Pehpot

Pehpot of My Painted Lips, through this blog, shows that being a mother shouldn’t hinder a woman from looking her best. Even a simple lipstick applied on your lips can make a whole lot of difference. Being not too much of a lipstick-y person though, I say a pencil eyeliner is a must-have in my kikay kit. But, maybe, I’d try some of Pehpot’s recommendations real soon. 🙂

#10: www.Levyousa.com

Levyousa of Levy

Levy of Levyousa is one of the cheeriest women I’ve known in my entire life. She’s one of the bloggers that I also follow because she’s as opinionated as I am and she loves sharing meaningful information too, which shows how caring she truly is. I also love her blog’s name though I’m not a big fan of Harry Potter. I miss yah, sis Levy! See yah soon, too! 🙂
