Magnolia Ice Cream’s Frozen Delights & Summer Bloggers Party

Magnolia's Frozen Delights - CertifiedFoodies.com

Last week, we were invited to Magnolia’s Summer Bloggers Party for the launching of their new ice cream products, their Frozen Delights. I came with fellow foodies and bloggers who participated in their Facebook promo. It was definitely a night to remember. I’ll post more of my coverage of the event on my personal blog Just Another Pixel so stay tuned for that.

Going back to the launching of Magnolia’s Frozen Delights, I was genuinely glad that they were re-launching or re-introducing Magnolia as an ice cream brand. Most of us may be a little more familiar with the flavors of other popular ice cream brands, but from all the ice cream I’ve tasted during the bloggers party, you sure would love to get a taste of these delicious new ice cream from Magnolia.

There are a total of 5 Magnolia’s Frozen Delights that were featured at the launch, one of them were introduced for the very first time so I was pretty excited to try it. It’s Magnolia’s Spinner, their very own ice cream cone. It comes in two flavors: Vanilla and Chocolate (Php 20 only).

I only got to try the Vanilla flavor. There was an ice cream-eating contest that my bro Ken and I joined and I got to try the Chocolate flavor. I loved them both, though I got brain freeze during the contest so I didn’t completely get to enjoy it. 😀

I also got to try one of Magnolia’s Fun Bar Surprise ice cream, the Cool Bubblegum flavor. I didn’t know my lips turned blue ‘til my blogger friends started laughing at me. 😀 Hahaha. Magnolia's Fun Bar Surprise and Sweetie Bites - CertifiedFoodies.com

Magnolia’s Fun Bar Surprise comes in 2 more flavors – Cotton Candy and Choco Loco. Too bad I wasn’t able to try them, but I’ll make sure I do next time I drop by the grocery. They only cost Php 10.00 each. You won’t need to sell gold since they’re very affordable! I hope there’ll be a Magnolia Mobile vendor roaming our area so I can try these other flavors.

Magnolia Sweetie Bites were also introduced during the event. It comes in two flavors, Cookie Craze and Cheesy Bliss. SRP is Php 11.00. I didn’t get to try them, too, but I bet they’re as delightful as the other ones I did get to try.

Now, these last two Frozen Delights are my absolute faves. First, Magnolia’s Popsies / Ice Lolly. I got to try their 2 flavors, Choco Cool and Orange Chill (SRP Php 10.00). I am absolutely satisfied because they don’t taste like flavored ice. They were both ice creamilicious, no kidding! My mom and I even had to share the last one left at our freezer. She forced me and played the mother card on me. 😀

We were given freebies/samples of their Frozen Delights to take home. Imagine my surprise that all the ice cream I took home only lasted for 2 days. 😀 Wait, the other freebie bag (the other one that my bro got), we gave away to friends ‘cause we’re trying to lessen our sweets intake.

Last, but definitely not the least, is Magnolia’s Pinipig Crunch (SRP Php 13.00). My bro absolutely loved the Vanilla Crisp that I think he devoured like all of the ones we brought home except for 2 that my mom and I got to enjoy.

Good thing I hid one Sweet Corn flavored Pinipig Crunch. It’s now my favorite among all the Magnolia Frozen Delights I got to try. It’s so creamy and I loved the corn flavor.

By the way, Magnolia’s latest tie-up with the province of Guimaras in Iloilo City brings us this new ice cream flavor Guimaras Mango Festival! It comes in two flavors – Mangga’t Kasuy, and Mangoes and Cream (SRP Php 230/1.5L). These limited edition ice cream flavors are only available until May 2011 so hurry! 🙂 Magnolia's new limited edition Ice Cream - Guimaras Mango Festival! - CertifiedFoodies.com

I’d like to thank Magnolia Ice Cream for the awesome party. I got to win a gift certificate from them (I already redeemed the 1.5L Gold Label ice cream, but that’s for another post), too, and some Magnolia freebies like a whole bag of ice cream, a shirt, cap and fan. Thanks to all the organizers, too. My blogger friends and I had a really fun time!
