Unlimited Treats from Cravings Restaurant

Last October, Ken and I were invited to try out C2 Classic Cuisine Restaurant’s Signature Series featuring Pinoy Favorites like their own version of Kare-kare and Bangus Belly (our post about this is up next!). Since the closest to us was C2 in Cravings Katipunan, there we went.

Cravings Restaurant

As soon as we entered the restaurant, this display of cakes made us look forward to the end of our meal. Our invite from C2 didn’t include desserts, but we found out Cravings has an Unlimited Cakes and Coffee promo for only Php 150 per person. How can we pass that up?! 😀

How can you resist not availing of their unlimited cake promo

Their unlimited menu includes a wide selection of cakes, but you can only order their four featured cakes at the time you were dining in. When we were there though, we had five different cakes because we had to stay a bit longer as Ken prepared a list for our shopping for our birthday celebration.

Unlimited Coffee and Cakes from Cravings for only Php 150

As you can see from the photos below, the slices of cakes are thin so you won’t get overwhelmed by the amount you’re ordering. I wish there were cheesecakes available when we were there, but these cakes we got to try were truly delightful.

Chocolate Pastillas Cake from Cravings

First up was the Chocolate Pastillas Cake (whole: Php 590). It has this brownie texture / density with a dark / semi-sweet chocolate flavor. The pastillas fillings in between the layers of brownies were the perfect pairing to the slight bitterness of the chocolate layers. 🙂

Chocolate Caramel Cake from Cravings

This one’s our second favorite – Chocolate Caramel Cake (whole: Php 740). It was dark chocolate; moist and creamy all the way. The caramel flavor wasn’t too overwhelmingly sweet. Ken even had another serving of this.

Honey Mango Chiffon Cake

Next was their Honey Mango Chiffon Cake (whole: Php 595). There was nothing really surprising about this one, but we still enjoyed it. 🙂

Black and White Fantasy and Chocolate Medley

Finally, we ordered a slice of their Black and White Fantasy (whole: Php 575) and Chocolate Medley cake (whole: Php 800).

The former was made up of mostly chocolate mousse with layers of brownies between and underneath, which Ken absolutely enjoyed. The top layer was butter cream reminiscent of Oreo cookies’ fillings. So yummy! Definitely, the Black and White Fantasy is our favorite. 🙂

The Chocolate Medley was also good as far as I can remember. I guess we couldn’t get over the Black and White Fantasy so I can’t recall exactly how the other one tasted. I’m sure we weren’t disappointed though. 🙂

Salad station where you can make your own at Cravings Restaurant

Above is the photo of the salad station at Cravings Katipunan. They are also offering unlimited soup and salads so you can go up to here and prepare your own for appetizer. 🙂

Cravings in Katipunan is located right across Ateneo de Manila University. There was some kind of construction going on and aroadside assistance planwas setup near the area so we had to ask around. I wasn’t able to take a photo of the front of the restaurant because of it. Anyway, it should be easy to find now and we’re looking forward to coming back very soon. 🙂

A display of mouthwatering cakes at Cravings

Oh, take note that the Unlimited Cravings Meals promo is only available until January 15, 2012, so hurry! 🙂

  1. Kung may cheesecake siguro, baka pupunta ako lagi diyan. P150 for unlimited cakes is not that bad, kahit na limited ang selections. Black and White Fantasy cake sounds good to try.

  2. Boyfie and I also tried the unlimited cakes and coffee from TCB just a few weeks ago. We found the cakes dry and a little crumbly though.. >.< Probably due to sitting so long on the chiller.. Anyway, I also made a review here: http://www.thepurpledoll.net/2011/12/coffee-beanery-unlimited-cakes-coffee.html
